Peterborough, PE3 9GZ
Salary: £47,132 per annum
We are seeking an enthusiastic Trust Registrar to join the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
The position is available as soon as possible for one year in the first instance and can be extended by mutual consent. The vacancy is a new post complimenting our two current Trust Registrars and OMFS ST. You must hold FDS/MFDS, or equivalent, have full registration with the GDC, and a minimum of three years’ experience in Maxillofacial Surgery.
The Maxillofacial Unit provides the full range of OMFS services including orthognathic surgery, trauma, salivary gland surgery and surgical dermatology. This is delivered under the supervision of three Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. The post will offer the opportunity to gain exposure and experience in management of maxillofacial procedures with attendance at inpatient operative lists and joint clinics and exposure to orthognathic operating. The position is ideal for those wishing to improve their surgical skills in preparation for application to medical school or prior to application for OMFS speciality training.
The post is full time. The post holders will participate in the non-resident middle grade on-call rota. This entails a 1:5 weekend, Saturday and Sunday commitment with time off the following day.
Consideration will be given to candidates who require a certificate of sponsorship if no suitable UK, EEA national or those with verifiable permission to work in the UK are identified.
