Job Title: Security Officer/Security Controller (SIA Licence essential)

Reporting to: Yameen Choudhry (Resource Centre Manager)

Location: Capability Green, Luton

Hours of Work: 12 Hour Shifts - 36-60 hours per week - Shifts can be Days and Nights.

Salary: £8.59 per hour

Carlisle Support Services are currently seeking a Resource Centre coordinator to provide a comprehensive staffing service for the Carlisle Support Services Management team

The role requires a Security officer with control room duties to be undertaken. As the Resource Centre Co-ordinator within the Resource Centre of the business you will ensure complete customer satisfaction through responding to and satisfying customer requirements with maximum efficiency and economy.


This role will include a variety of tasks including the following:

  • Ensure the day to day manning of contracts both retail and commercial ensuring that group support services managers are kept fully up to date with any shortfalls, Blow outs and general problems that may arise. Achieve targeted Control Room KPIs.
  • Booking on and off all employees, ensuring that lateness is reported and logged on employees’ dairies, making deductions as necessary to employees hours, ensuring that the call monitor is kept up to date and that employees not ‘booked’ on are chased as to their whereabouts.
  • To cover holidays and sickness at short notice, to cover duties as directed.
  • Adhere to times of 07:00 – 19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00, and arrive for duty in good time to receive a full hand over from the off going coordinator.
  • Answering all queries via telephone from security officers, cleaners, merchandisers, installers, internal management and clients. Being polite and professional and ensuring all calls and messages are processed accordingly.
  • Responding to management requests, ensuring all relevant documentation is supplied as required.
  • Deployment of Mobile Patrol Operatives where necessary to assist security/cleaning personnel where applicable.
  • Ensuring Health and safety check calls are monitored, and when appropriate escalate missed check call procedures for the wellbeing of officers on site.
  • Recording all incidents received from client sites and entering details into the daily occurrence book, completing accident/incident forms and passing all information across to the area managers.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring compliance with company procedures and practices, in particular proper completion of necessary reporting and recording systems, and control of wages and other expenditure. Inform the Senior co-ordinators if the service has deviated against the wage rates.
  • Ensure that Resource Centre telephones are answered promptly and issues dealt with professionally.
  • Ensure that you fully complete the daily occurrence log, and that this is read and signed at the start and end of each shift. Complete any items not closed.
  • Ensure that the company accident records are recorded and completed accurately ensuring the Account Director and Head of Compliance Manager is informed of such incidents.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request made from the management team adhering to the company business.
  • Dealing with Purchase order request for the business and communicating the information back to the clients, and Management team
