School/College Leavers - Apprentice Finance Administrator Job
East London (E1), East London
Salary: £12000 per annum


My client, a leading financial service providing secured homeowner loan provider with over 60 years' experience in the financial industry. Secured homeowner loans are secured against your property and are generally greater in value than personal loans with repayments over a longer term. Due to company growth they are now seeking an apprentice to join the finance department.


As an apprentice/trainee you will be guided in your learning by a senior member of the recruitment team helping develop your skills and industry knowledge. This apprenticeship will suite those with minimal to no recruitment experience, recent school/college leavers or young individuals looking for a change of employment. Due to the nature of the apprenticeship full training and support will be provided over the 12 month course with the possibility to move on afterwards to a full time position within the company.


Your day to day duties can include:

  • Assisting the accountant in the production of the month end reporting
  • Assisting the accountant in the preparation of the month end working paper files
  • Assisting and then taking ownership of preparing and publishing regular weekly management information reports
  • Assisting the accountant with ad hoc financial and management reporting requests
  • Oversee and maintain adequacy of the office supplies and suppliers


As this is an apprenticeship no previous experience is required, however you will need to meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for the role. Whether you have recent left school or college and are looking for your first step on the career ladder or even an alternative to further education an apprenticeship is the best path.

The employer is keen for people with a keen eye for details, good levels of communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel) and emails. You will also need to be number literate and have good math's qualifications.

Previous experience in an office/finance based role would be advantageous but not essential.

You must be educated to a minimum A level standard in a maths/business/finance related subject.
