We are looking to recruit Residential Childcare Workers - Night Wake at our home Roseland in Truro, Cornwall. Applicants must be enthusiastic reliable and flexible, with excellent communications skills and a passion for caring for young people. All should have a genuine interest in the welfare, care and development of children and young people working with young people with emotional behavioural difficulties, including attachment disorders and self harm. You will work 30 hours per week as part of a night time rota.

Working to ensure the physical, emotional and identified personal care needs of children and young people are met through the development and maintenance of a supportive and caring environment. You will also work with young people and others to assess needs and to work jointly in the preparation, implementation and delivery of Care Plans. You will also maintain the development of positive child care practice in keeping with the aims and objectives of Pathway Care Residential.
Part of the role will include making sure that the home is clean, tidy, warm and inviting, fulfilling the needs of children, young people and families regardless of disability, racial/cultural origin or gender.
You will be willing and enthusiastic to participate in essential training and eager to learn new skills. You will be required to work on a shift basis, including nights, evenings & weekends ensuring care needs of our children or young people are identified and met. Possession of the NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or Level 3 Children & Young Peoples Diploma is desirable but not essential.
We provide ongoing training opportunities for our team members to ensure that the successful candidate feels confident and competent to work with our young people.
