Brook Street currently have some exciting opportunities available to work as a Support Adviser within this prominent and innovative Public sector organisation. The positions are on an on going temporary basis.

Job description
You will be working within the Technical Services Team where one of the key responsibilities is to undertake processing of agreements under the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE).
This includes managing agreements for Entry Level Stewardship, Higher Level Stewardship and our new Countryside Stewardship scheme.
Natural England is accredited to the Cabinet Office Customer Service Excellence Standard and this underpins all of the work the team undertakes.
Duties include:
Analysing and preparing documentation using spreadsheets, databases and email;
Liaising with members of the public to provide excellent customer service;
Reporting on findings;
Data entry using our in-house system;
Liaising with internal departments on a day to day basis;
Prioritising workloads in order to meet deadlines;

The candidate:

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate the following skills and qualities -
Demonstrable data preparation/data entry ability ;
Experience of using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Mapping skills are also welcome but not essential;

Willingness to learn new PC skills and programmes,
Attention to detail and good numeracy skills,
Good analytical skills whilst carrying out work at various stages of our processes;
Ability to work as part of a motivated team;
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as you will be communicating with the public via telephone, letter and email;
Need to be able to follow set procedures and instructions while under supervision but also exercise some independent judgement;
Customer focussed and a willingness to understand and adopt our approach to customer service excellence;
Flexibility over working hours and duties, to be adaptable when necessary;
The ability to be a good team player is essential.
