Kaleidoscope’s Drighlington nursery is situated at the edge of the village just off the A650 bypass.  The large, purpose converted building is set in 2 acres of rural land offering places for children aged 3 months to 5 years.  We also operate an out of school club (KOOSH) for 4 to 11 year olds.

We are looking for a KOOSH Playworker to work in our Drighlington Nursery.  We are passionate about the quality of the care we provide so you must love working with children and be committed to ensuring that safeguarding is at the forefront of all practice.  Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and experience of working in an out of school club or similar environment is desirable. It is essential that you have a full and relevant driving licence with a category B notification and have experience of the role an out of school club plays in the community. The hours are 8.00 am to 9.00 am and 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm term time and hours negotiable in holidays.

Your Job Role:

  • To work as a member of the KOOSH team, showing initiative and creativity ensuring a high standard of childcare is maintained at all times.

    • To be responsible for ‘Key Children’ following Kaleidoscope’s Key person Policy’

  • To be actively involved with planning and providing interesting learning opportunities through play, experiences and activities, which allow the children to explore, develop and progress within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

  • To ensure the safety of children whilst in the club, escorting them to and from school and on outings.
