Your new company
A Payroll supervisor role has recently become available within an established company based in Edinburgh. The role is a standalone payroll position within a busy finance department and will undertake a variety of different tasks. The size of the payroll is 600 employees and in peak times this changes to 800.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the preparation of the companies salaries and timesheets with 600 employees on the payroll, as well as the handling of the annual returns for HMRC and pension schemes. You will also supervise the preparation and submission of the monthly payroll data for processing and liaison with the human resources department. You also will handle the completion of the monthly and annual payroll, tax and pension returns you will ensure the accurate payment of national insurance and PAYE.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong background working within both a team and in standalone payroll position, you will also have strong excel skills and have strong knowledge of tax and pension schemes. You will also have a strong understanding of current and update payroll processes and systems. You will also have experience of year end payroll procedures. You will also have good attention to detail and great people skills as there is a large quantity of liaising with other members of staff in different departments.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary of £22,956-26,000 per annum and 31 and a half days holiday.
