About the role

Interserve Healthcare is a leading care provider who puts care at the heart of everything we do. We support a range of clients varying in age and care requirements which can include mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and clients with more complex clinical needs.

As a Care Assistant in this role duties will include providing support with all aspects of personal care. This will include assistance with moving and handling, mobility ,incontinence care and medication management.

We are currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants with a minimum of 6 months experience to provide care and support to our client, a 11 year old male client based in the Tamworth Area. As a Healthcare Assistant you will be providing total care to the client and maximising his quality of life through delivering a high level of person centred care

Shift patterns will be as follows:
Monday -Friday 16:00-20:00
Tuesday & Thursday 10:00-14:00
Monday, Wednesday & Friday 07:30-14:00
Weekends as required
Rates of pay range from £9.00 - £11.00 per hour

Following skills & experience required:

• 6 months previous care experience
• Experience of working with clients with complex care needs (advantageous)
• Excellent communication skills
• Have a caring and compassionate attitude
• Can commit to regular hours (Day Shifts)
• Gastrostomy care
• Ventilation care
• Medication management
• Continence Management
• Manual handling
• Epilepsy
