Health, Safety and Fire Coordinator Job

Salary: From £27,580.80 to £31,033.60 per annum 40 hours per week, Mon- Fri

The purpose of this role is to oversee the delivery of Health & Safety and Fire Safety across St Monica Trust’s four retirement villages and Care at Home workers.Reporting to the Facilities Operations and Health & Safety Manager, the role is responsible for the delivery of a quality service across Health & Safety and Fire Safety issues.

What we’re looking for:

Someone who can assist the Facilities Operations and Health & Safety Manager fulfil their role in the provision, and implementation, of suitable and sufficient Health & Safety and Fire Policy and procedures. You will develop and continually review systems to monitor and review service level standards in Health and Safety (including COSSHH) and fire safety compliance. Using centralised work logging systems (Worxhub & Assessment) you will ensure that the systems are being used effectively and efficiently in Health & safety and Fire related queries.

You will also be required to oversee procurement of contracts with external contractors in relation to Health & Safety and Fire related areas and ensure effective communication methods, work processes and training is in place and implemented across all areas of the trust in relation to areas of responsibility.

Due to the nature of the services we provide at St Monica Trust, we will also be looking for an understanding of older people’s needs.
