Health & Safety Consultant

Up to £38,000 Basic (Dependent on experience and location ) + Company car or car allowance of £4,000 + Excellent benefits package

This is a field based role covering Cambridge, Colchester and Ipswich

We are expanding our well established and highly successful health & safety team in order to meet our client's demands.

As a Peninsula Health and Safety Consultant you would work in a regional field based role, meeting with new and existing clients on their sites / premises, in order to help create their bespoke Health and Safety documentation and management systems.

Flexibility - Working from home - you will have allocated admin days to complete your report writing after your field visits to clients.

Professional Development - We want all our Consultants to develop their CPD, that's why we run training workshops to develop our team's skills, experience and share best practice.

Main duties will include:

  • Undertaking of Health and Safety surveys of clients' premises and production of relevant reports
  • Developing strong relationships and rapport with our Client's Site Managers, H&S Departments and HR teams.
  • Advising and instructing clients in the use of their health and safety management system and other relevant procedures
  • Liaising with Enforcing Authorities on behalf of clients when required
  • Advising clients on matters of Health & Safety standards and best practice affecting their business
  • Undertaking of accident or other special investigations to assist the client as required.

Skills and experience required:

  • Candidates must ideally be a Graduate member of IOSH - or hold a relevant alternative h&s qualification,
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proactive Approach to Safety Management
  • Commercial Awareness
  • I.T. Literate
  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Customer relationship building experience

Successful candidates will ideally need to be located in the CO, CB or IP postcode areas.
