About the Role - English Graduate Role - English Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
As an English Teaching Assistant you will be working in the busy English department helping students preparing for upcoming exams. You will be working closely with the talented Head of Department and in partnership with a range of excellent class teachers. You will be observing lots of different styles and approaches, helping you build your confidence in the classroom. You will be providing group booster and intervention sessions for students and even helping some on a one to one. The school believe in nurturing teaching excellence, if you show the required skills and commitment you will be considered for the School Direct programme offered at the school.
Person Specification - English Graduate Role - English Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
This role would suit a creative English graduate (a second class degree at the very least) who has an in depth understanding of your subject and the ability to transfer this knowledge to others. You must have the ability to act as a role model and display the drive and skills to become a teacher in your own right.
