French speaking Level 2 IT Technical Support Job

Salary: From £24,000 to £26,000 per annum

COMPANY Our client is a world leading IT company, producing some of the most recognised and exciting technology brands and accessories.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES To support all French and some English speaking customers from the EMEA region, they wish to recruit a French speaking Level 2 IT Technical Support Engineer. Your job responsibilities will include the following duties and tasks:
Receiving French speaking customer calls from IT distributors, resellers and end users in French and English regarding technical issues and product questions
Resolving customer queries by gathering appropriate information from the customer
Recreating customer problems and performing tests to ascertain the cause of the problem, resolving the issue then documenting the findings in French
Maintain product knowledge and other competitor’s hardware/software products (Initial and on-going training will be provided as necessary)
Developing and maintaining files of correspondence and other technical support records
Attending trade shows and on site visits as required
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
Fluency in French as well as fluent English
Have experience in IT support, ideally 2nd level technical support
Have a very good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
A working knowledge of computer networks - Windows 200, XP and Vista essential (Linux, Mac a plus but not essential) and a proficient knowledge of PC architecture and hardware is required
Have exceptional communication and analytical skills
Have a strong customer focus
SALARY £24,000 - £26,000 + bonus + benefits
