Glasgow Women’s Aid provides temporary refuge, support and information for women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse.
As a Family Resource Worker you will provide 1-1 and group work support to children and young people with experience of domestic abuse who are living in refuge. You will actively support children and young people’s recovery from their experience of domestic abuse and will co-ordinate and provide a variety of play sessions and activities.
You must have experience of supporting children and young people in both 1-1 and group situations. It is essential that you have a child centred approach and can engage with children and young people using a variety of resources.
The successful candidates must have a qualification recognised for SSSC registration. They will also have knowledge and a commitment to a feminist analysis of domestic abuse. It is essential that candidates have knowledge of child abuse and child protection legislation.
